PWDs in Karim Lamido Seek Kefas’ Support for Chairman Danjos’ Re-election.

Rector Commends Gov. Kefas for Upgrading Taraba College of Agriculture, Science and Technology.

Blind Association Accuses Senator Jimkuta of Marginalizing Persons with Disabilities.

The Nigeria Association of the Blind, Taraba State Chapter, has accused the Senator representing Taraba South, David Su Jimkuta, of neglecting persons with disabilities (PWDs) in his constituency projects and empowerment initiatives. In an open letter signed by the state chairman, Comrade Wanderimam Teyang, and made available to journalists, the association expressed dismay over what it described as “the high rate of discrimination and marginalization” in the senator’s programmes over the past two years. 500 Taraba Women Receive Empowerment Grants from Renewed Hope Initiative.

The programme, which targets women across the 36 states of the federation, was coordinated in Taraba through the Office of the Governor’s Wife, Mrs. Agyn Agbu Kefas. According to a statement issued by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, ASP James Lashen Saminu, the operation took place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at about 10:00 a.m., following credible intelligence on the suspects’ activities. Taraba Govt Dismisses Ghost Worker Claims, Urges Unpaid Staff to Undergo Verification.

In an interview, Dr. Kara clarified that only 2,411 workers are yet to receive their salaries due to non-verification, refuting widespread speculation that over 7,000 workers remain unpaid. He urged any civil servant affected to promptly appear before the screening committee for verification to enable immediate payment. According to him, the committee has worked diligently to sanitize the payroll system in the interest of transparency and progress.
