Rev. Fr. Muke Urges Christians to Remain Steadfast in Faith

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State on Christian Religious Matters, Very Rev. Fr. Sunday Patrick Muke, has called on Christians to remain steadfast in their faith by embracing humility, prayer, and self-denial in their daily lives.

In a pastoral reflection released on Sunday, Fr. Muke drew inspiration from the Gospel of Luke 13:22–33, where Jesus admonished His followers to “strive to enter through the narrow door.” He said the passage is a reminder for believers to pursue a deeper relationship with Christ, even when such a path demands sacrifice and courage.

“Our faith is not a matter of mere words or appearances, but of action and transformation,” he stated. “Many paths in today’s world may appear wide and easy, but not all lead to life. True discipleship requires walking in truth, even when it is unpopular.”

Fr. Muke also urged Christians to lift Taraba State and Nigeria in prayer, asking God to grant wisdom to leaders and bless the efforts of citizens.

He prayed for divine grace to strengthen believers to remain faithful and ready to “enter through the narrow door when the time comes.”

The Governor’s aide encouraged them to begin the new week with renewed commitment to spiritual discipline, love, and service to God.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
