The leadership of the Jenjo Youth Wing has publicly distanced itself from alleged remarks credited to Mr. Magaji Bulus Gago, popularly known as Max B, against Taraba State Governor, , and the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, .
The Secretary General, Mr. Babangida Danbauchi, made this known during a press briefing today in Jalingo.
He said the youth body debunked what it described as “misleading insults” directed at the governor and the commissioner, stressing that such comments do not reflect the values or position of the Jenjo people.
According to him, the Jenjo community has always upheld a reputation for good character and remains committed to the progressive vision of advancing Taraba State.
The Secretary General expressed regret over the development and emphasized that it would not be party to actions capable of undermining the state government.
“We bow in regret and state clearly that such an attitude is not part of the Jenjo people’s behaviour. We are one hundred percent loyal to the government of His Excellency and remain committed to the development of Taraba State,” the statement read.
He revealed that the youth executives also reaffirmed the loyalty of key political figures of Jenjo extraction to the present administration, including Hon. Abner Shittu, member representing Karim Lamido I Constituency; the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mike Dio Jen; and the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Mrs. Mary Sinjen.
They reiterated that the Jenjo nation would not be associated with what they termed “arrogant and misleading behaviour,” adding that the community remains supportive of the governor’s leadership and developmental strides.
Danbauchi prayed for the continued success of Governor Kefas’ administration and the progress of Taraba State and Nigeria at large.
