YOWICAN Northeast Chairman Congratulates Tarabans on 34th Anniversary, Commends Governor Kefas’ Developmental Strides.

The Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Northeast Zone, Evangelist Ephesian Jesse,JP. has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Taraba State as the state celebrates its 34th anniversary.

 Evangelist Jesse the immediate past YOWICAN Chairman Taraba state Chapter in an interview with our correspondent in Jalingo, described the journey of Taraba since its creation as fruitful, noting that the state has recorded remarkable progress in key sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, and the economy.

He highlighted the establishment and growth of vibrant higher institutions of learning, including Taraba State University, the College of Nursing and Midwifery, the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Taraba State Polytechnic Suntai, Federal University Wukari, and Federal Polytechnic Bali, among others, as evidence of the state’s commitment to educational advancement.

As Zonal Chairman and a member of the Taraba State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Evangelist Jesse lauded the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas for its developmental drive. He noted that at 34, Taraba is progressing steadily and called on citizens to rally support for the Governor in his mission to move the state forward.

“While the government is making deliberate efforts to develop the state, citizens must also play their part in building a better Taraba,” Jesse stated. He particularly encouraged youths to embrace legitimate businesses as a way of boosting the state’s economy and securing their future.

On the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), the YOWICAN Chairman urged all eligible youths to register and obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), stressing that the PVC remains the most powerful tool to participate in shaping leadership. He reminded them that with the 2027 elections approaching, only those with PVCs would be able to exercise their franchise.

Evangelist Jesse prayed for sustained peace, unity, and prosperity in Taraba, urging all citizens to remain committed to the collective progress of the state.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
