The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Karim Lamido Local Government Chapter, has appealed to Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to support the re-election of Hon. Bitrus I. Danjos (JP) as Executive Chairman of Karim Lamido Local Government Council.
In an open letter signed by the association’s chairman, Amnon Robert, the group described Danjos as a “shining example of true leadership” who has consistently prioritized the welfare of vulnerable groups, particularly persons with disabilities.
According to the association, his administration has provided scholarships, economic empowerment initiatives, and medical assistance to members, while also addressing the broader developmental needs of the local government.
“His leadership is marked by inclusivity, compassion, and concern for the vulnerable.
He has consistently served both able-bodied persons and those with disabilities without discrimination,” the letter stated.
JONAPWD emphasized that if other local government chairmen across the state emulate Danjos’ dedication, the welfare of persons with disabilities would be greatly improved.
The group urged Governor Kefas to consider granting the council boss a second term, stressing that his re-election would bring “joy not only to the people of Karim Lamido but also to persons with disabilities across Taraba State.”
They expressed confidence that under his continued leadership, the local government would witness greater progress and inclusivity.
