INSECURITY: 8 Boko Haram terrorists and 2 High profile kidnapper informants have been apprehended by 6 brigade troops in Taraba State.

In a series of intelligence driven operations, troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/ Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested 10 suspects, comprising 8 Boko Haram terrorists (BHT) and 2 high-profile kidnapper informants, in a significant effort to enhance the security of Taraba State. Acting swiftly on reliable intelligence, troops of the Brigade on 29 September 2024 conducted a raid on the residence of one of the terrorists leader Tukura Abdul-Kareem in Sunkani Ward of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area. INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION: COMMANDANT NSCDC TARABA COMMAND REASSURES NEW SDS OF NSCDC'S COOPERATION WITH THE DSS IN TARABA STATE.

The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command Adamu Salihu has reassured the new State Director Security Services, Taraba State Command of his command's willingness to collaborate with the service in safeguarding lives and properties in the state. PEACE DAY: EXPERT CALLS FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF TARABA STATE PEACE COMMISSION

Professor Joseph Lucas of the Taraba State University Jalingo has called for the establishment of a Peace Commission in Taraba State. The University Don made the call in his presentation at the event organized by Search For Common Ground and partners at Grand Shield Hotel Jalingo. According to him, if that is done, it will help in addressing matters bothering peacebuilding in the state. Professor Lucas, who is the Chairman of Taraba State Peace Architecture Dialogue, PAD, charges the people of the State to be ambassadors of peace for a peaceful state. He commented the Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas for the constitution of a mental health and Wellness Committee in the state. Lucas said all hands must be on deck to build a peaceful society, stressing that the Government alone can not build a peaceful society. SECURITY:TROOPS BUSTS NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL NETWORK IN TARABA, RECOVER ARMS, AMMUNITION.

In a decisive operation aimed at curbing criminal activities within its area of responsibility, troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have successfully dismantled a notorious criminal network responsible for various acts of violence and insecurity within Karim Lamido LGA of Taraba State.  The operation, which took place on 16 September 2024, led to the arrest of  2 suspects, recovery of an AK-47 rifle and a cache of ammunition. SECURITY: 6 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY HEADQUARTERS JALINGO SET FOR ANNUAL RANGE CLASSIFICATION AT 114 BATTALION JIMLARI REAR SHOOTING RANGE.

The Six Brigade Nigerian Army Headquarters Jalingo is set to Commence twenty twenty four Annual Range Classification at Military Range. A statement signed by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the exercise will be held from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th September,2024 at Military Range in Jimlari. DISASTER: People living in flood-prone areas in Taraba State are advised to relocate to safer zones.

The Honourable Commissioner of Environment and Climate Change Taraba state, Haj Aishat A.Barde made call in a press statement issued in Jalingo. UNION: COMR Jediel has been reelected as Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers' Union in Taraba State.

Governor Agbu Kefas has been lauded for facilitating the accreditation of Nursing courses at the Taraba State University Jalingo by the National University Commission, NUC. The former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Taraba State Council, Comrade David Nyah, has been appointed as a permanent secretary by Doctor Agbu Kefas. National Minimum Wage:HOS Taraba State Elder Tino Paul says Computation of Civil Servants to benefit from National wage has commenced.

The Taraba State Head of Civil Service, Paul Maigida Tino says computation preparatory for the payment of the new national minimum wage in the state has already commenced. CRIME: NSCDSC Taraba State Command has paraded one Mustapha Aminu for vandalising a power cable in Jalingo.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command has paraded one Mustapha Aminu (24) in connection with the vandalization of power cable belonging to the State Ministry of Energy and Economic Development.  The arrest came at the heels of intensified patrols around critical national assets and infrastructures as ordered by the State Commandant Adamu Salihu. Tax Justice Network Taraba in collaboration with TinT follow Tax has organised a Two day workshop for stakeholders to discuss issues bothering taxes. The event was held at the Fast Track Hotel conference Hall Jalingo. The interactive session drew participants from Market Union leaders,the media, Taraba State Internal Revenue Service and NGOs.
