UNION: COMR Jediel has been reelected as Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers' Union in Taraba State.

Comrade Peter Jediel has been reelected as the State Chairman Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria Taraba State Council.

The election was conducted during the sixth quadrennial Conference of the Union in Jalingo.

Others are Comrade Dauda Abdulrahman vice chairman, Comrade Peter Istifanus as Treasurer and Comrade Audu Abe as Auditor.

Other officials are Comrade Hassan Garba as Trustee and Comrade Idris Adamu Usman as the Publicity Secretary.

Announcing the returning officer Comrade Yusuf Inuwa said the officials emerged through a consensus and congratulated them.

Yusuf Inuwa who is the National Auditor of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria urged the newly elected officials to justify the confidence repose in them.

In his inaugural speech,the Chairman Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria Peter Jediel pledged to run an all inclusive governance and solicited support to enable them succeed.

Jediel who doubled as the Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress NLC Taraba State Council thanked the Members of the Union for finding them worthy to represent them in leadership.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
