Youths Development: Mentorship play critical role in shaping the future of youths .

Mentoring has been identified as an important part of personal and professional growth for young people who want to 
succeed in life.

A Lecturer with the Taraba State University Jalingo, Doctor Ishaku Bitrus Manang stated this while Presenting a paper at the First Youths Summit of Taraba Youths Round Table Yorro Branch at Katakata Hall Pantisawa.

The University Don remarked that youths who are willing to be mentored will grow to be successful in life.

Doctor Ishaku Manang added that youths should equally pursue an Education to have solid foundation in self development.

The paper entitled: Empowering the Youths : A Panacea of Community Development , Doctor Ishaku said youths should ensure they make positive contributions to building a better society.

In his presentation, Professor Ali Ahmadi Alkali encouraged youths to leverage on rich cultural values of society to make a tangible impact.

Speaking, the Coordinator of Taraba Youths Round Table Initiative Yorro Branch,Hadison Haruna said the event is Organised to sensitize the Yorro youths on the need for responsible citizens.

Hadison Haruna appreciated the participants for turning out enmass to grace the program.

In a vote of thanks,the State Coordinator of Taraba Youths Round Table Initiative His Youthfulness Disebe S Bala Donga said youths should wake up to the responsibility of contributing to nation-building .


Disebe Bala encouraged the Youths to acquire knowledge of the electoral process of the country, stressing that they have the right to vote and be voted for in an elective position in the country.


The event featured an interactive session as well as questions and answers.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.  It adds that Further investigations led to the discovery that the gang's hideout was at Kona Mountain in Jalingo , where additional members of the syndicate were believed to be camped. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area. He remarked that the Seminary established in 1946 by the United Methodist Church agencies and donors has been manned by the church and has continued to fund the Seminary that has trained many clergy of the UMC, including him.
