Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday, assured Nigerians that the nation has “turned the corner” and is now on a path of recovery, declaring that the sacrifices made under his reform policies are beginning to yield results. In a national broadcast to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, the President said the economic pains of the past two years were necessary steps to rescue the country from collapse and reset it on a trajectory of sustainable growth. “The worst is over. Yesterday’s pains are giving way to relief,” Tinubu declared, commending citizens for their resilience and patience in enduring tough reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of foreign exchange rates.
