6 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY INTENSIFIES CLEARANCE OPERATIONS, DESTROYS BANDITS’ CAMPS, RECOVERS AMMUNITION IN TARABA STATE

In a determined effort to ensure a safe and secure environment for the ongoing farm harvest season and the forthcoming yuletide and to ensure that the state does not become a Safe Haven for criminals, the gallant troops of 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), under the pragmatic leadership of Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, have successfully conducted a series of clearance operations across multiple bandit hideouts in Taraba State. The operation code named OP GOLDEN PEACE commenced after extensive confidence building patrols, clearance missions, and stakeholder engagements, which proved effective in the northern part of the state. Mantau: Yorro Community must unite in the interest of progress -Kpan Sanwi Chiefdom HRH Haniel.

The Yorro community members have been asked to unite in the interest of  Mumuye Nation progress. REVENUE: CSO asked the Taraba State Internal Revenue Service to consider sharing formulas in the Harmonisation Tax Reforms.

State lead Taraba Tax Justice and Governance Platform Comrade Nashuka Fidelis has appealed to Taraba State Internal Revenue Service to prioritize sharing formula for LGAs at its work to harmonise Taxes. Comrade Nashuka Fidelis said this when he led other members of the organization on a courtesy visit to Chairman Taraba State Internal Revenue Service Retired General Jeremiah Faransa in Jalingo. He told the Chairman that if that is done the local government Council will receive their shares of the accrued revenue for execution of tangible projects at the grassroots. 2025: Taraba State Gov.Dr Agbu Kefas presented over N4bn for 2025 fiscal year.

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has presented budget estimate to the tune of over four hundred and twenty nine billion naira for twenty twenty five fiscal year. The ceremony took place at the hallow Chamber of the Taraba State House of Assembly,Jalingo. Speaking,Governor Agbu Kefas explained that it encapsulated the vision to build a more prosperous, inclusive and sustainable state with to achieve the moving forward agenda of his administration. According to the Governor the twenty twenty five budget estimate over two hundred and sixty six billion naira representing sixty one point five percent was set aside for capital expenditure, while over one hundred and sixty billion naira representing thirty eight point one percent of the estimate was earmarked as recurrent expenditure. Education: 200 Final-year Mumuye students received 4M donations from Taraba State Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali.

The final year Mumuye students drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country have received twenty thousand Naira each for project support from the Taraba State Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali. The presentation of the cash was performed at Campview Centre Conference Hall Mile Six Jalingo as each went home with twenty thousand Naira. Speaking, the Taraba State Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali says the gesture is part of his support for the educational policy of Governor Dr Agbu Kefas in the state. WELFARE:NBA JALINGO BRANCH (EQUITY BAR) DISTRIBUTES WELFARE PACKAGE TO MEMEBERS

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Jalingo branch (Equity Bar) today, 22nd November, 2024 sucessfully distributed welfare package to lawyers between the range of *1 to 10 years post call* at the Hon. Justice Adamu Aliyu (OFR) Bar Centre, Jalingo. The distribution started at exactly 3:30 pm by the welfare committee headed by the Welfare Secretary of the branch, *M.D Arosanyin, Esq.* The welfare package which is *50 bags of 25 kg processed rice* was secured for the branch by the Welfare Committee under the Chairmanship of *AISHA ALHASSAN, Esq* in order to cushion the effects of the economic realities facing the nation. Taraba state Commissioner for cooperative and poverty alleviation, Hon Habu James Philip has refuted the claim by a Taraba base newspaper (Taraba Truth and Fact), that he was in a cool war with the lawmaker representing his constituency, Hon. Veronica Alhassan. The commissioner while responding to the publication, described it as handiwork of mischief makers, staged to get cheap publicity. COMMANDER 6 BRIGADE PROMOTES PEACE THROUGH COLLABORATION: CONVENES STAKEHOLDERS' MEETING IN KARIM LAMIDO LGA
