The Adamawa State Wing of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, felicitates with Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi, from Gombe state, over his election as the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, during the eight Triennial National Delegates Conference in Owerri, Imo State.
A release signed by the Chairperson and Secretary of NAWOJ Adamawa State Chapter Comrades Rose Anthony Elishama and Gloria Abutu respectively, similarly congratulates the first female Deputy National President Mrs. Abimbola Oyetunde.
In like manner, felicitates with the Vice President, Zone E, Comrade Zare Baba, from Adamawa, and all other newly elected officers.
According to the release, the victories recorded are clear testament to the trust and confidence reposed in the leadership qualities of the elected and their dodged vision for the progress of the union.
It urged the newly elected officials to prioritize unity, collaboration, and the values that enhance the strength and vibrancy of the NUJ as the assume office.
The statement expressed the confidence in the ability of the officials to lead with integrity, dedication, and foresight towards United and progressive Union.
