WELFARE:NBA JALINGO BRANCH (EQUITY BAR) DISTRIBUTES WELFARE PACKAGE TO MEMEBERS

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Jalingo branch (Equity Bar) today, 22nd November, 2024 sucessfully distributed welfare package to lawyers between the range of *1 to 10 years post call* at the Hon. Justice Adamu Aliyu (OFR) Bar Centre, Jalingo.

The distribution started at exactly 3:30 pm by the welfare committee headed by the Welfare Secretary of the branch, *M.D Arosanyin, Esq.*

The welfare package which is *50 bags of 25 kg processed rice* was secured for the branch by the Welfare Committee under the Chairmanship of *AISHA ALHASSAN, Esq* in order to cushion the effects of the economic realities facing the nation.

Speaking after the distribution, the Chairman of NBA Jalingo branch, *Martin Milkman, Esq.* appreciated the Welfare Committee under the Chairmanship of , *Aisha Alhassan, Esq.* for their efforts in securing such package for the welfare of the branch at the time the branch needed it most. 

The Chairman also appreciated the Welfare Committee for the transparent distribution of the welfare package to the designated lawyers of the branch. 

The Chairman appealed to leaders of the Bar to continue with their noble gesture of making available welfare packages for the branch and call on members who did not benefit from the welfare package to remain calm as efforts are in place to ensure more welfare packages for the branch especially during this yuletide which every memeber of the branch will benefit.

Recalled that the Learned SGS, Lion of Mambila and the Jagaban of Gashaka*CHIEF G.T KATAPS, ESQ.* has the track record and tradition of availing the branch with a cow come every Christmas and new year seasons. 

You may further recalled that His excellency, Dr. Abu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State massively sponsored the members of the branch to Lagos in August, 2024 for the Annual General Conference of the NBA where the Hon. Attorney General Yakubu Maikasuwa SAN organised a sumptuous dinner for all the members.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
