Education: 200 Final-year Mumuye students received 4M donations from Taraba State Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali.

The final year Mumuye students drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country have received twenty thousand Naira each for project support from the Taraba State Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali.

The presentation of the cash was performed at Campview Centre Conference Hall Mile Six Jalingo as each went home with twenty thousand Naira.

Speaking, the Taraba State Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali says the gesture is part of his support for the educational policy of Governor Dr Agbu Kefas in the state.

Alh Aminu Remarked that the donations were to assist the final-year students in meeting up with their financial burdens.

He appreciated the initiative of the Governor in the education sector, stressing that the legacy will forever be remembered by both parents and students.

The Deputy Governor encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of funds to be good ambassadors of Taraba State.

Earlier, the President of Mumuye Cultural Development Association Youth Wing, Comrade Ezekiel Hammangbado Augustine, said the program aims to provide the final year Mumuye students with a stipend for their project research at the various higher institutions of learning across the country.

Comrade Ezekiel Hammangbado added that this initiative by Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali will consider 200 final-year students of Taraba State University Jalingo, Federal University Wukari, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Modibbo Adamawa University, Yola, Adamawa State, Adamawa State University Mubi, and College of Education Zing.

Others are the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, University of Jos, Plateau State, Federal Polytechnic Bali, College of Agriculture Science and Technology Jalingo, Taraba State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Jalingo, and Taraba State Polytechnic Suntai.

While appreciating the generosity of the Deputy Governor to the Mumuye Nation, Comr Ezekiel Hammangbado Augustine urged the beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of the Mumuye Nation and the country at large.

He commended the determination of Mumuye youths in their quest to seek Western education, describing it as a good omen.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries,the Mister Mumuye International King Romanus Peace a final year student of Federal University Wukari appreciated the Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali for the support.

He said the gesture will go a long way to alleviate their plights as students.
