Taraba: Gov Kefas rekindles hope approves 1bn for payment of gratuities.

Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, has approved the sum of one billion naira for the payment of gratuities backlog.  This is contained a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Digital Communications Mr Emmanuel Bello. The last time any payments were made was in twenty eleven. Governor Kefas, while signing the approval, directed the ministry of finance to ensure immediate payments of the overdue entitlements.  He regretted the delays and said his government would not abandon workers who had served their fatherland diligently.  Apart from the initial one billion naira, the governor also approved that a sum of two hundred million be set aside each month to offset the backlog and continue the payments.  It would be recalled that Dr Agbu Kefas, during the campaign, promised to offset pensions and gratuity in spite of the huge backlogs.  The Governor noted that it is unrighteous to deny workers who have slaved over the years th...

Vice Chairman Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria Taraba State Habila Danjuma Assendere has described unity as the bedrock of process in the society. Education: 200 Students matriculated by Adi Grace College,ByePyi.

The Adi Grace College of Education Bye pyi Wukari has matriculated over two hundred students for this year's academic session.  The newly matriculated students have been charged to take their study very serious. The Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University Jalingo, Professor Sunday Paul Bako gave the charged at the maiden matriculation of the institution held in the school premises in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State. Fifty indigines of Zing Local Government Area have been awarded thirty thousand naira scholarship. Security: Chairman Hunters Association Dogo Amos seeks Government support.

Keke Moses, Jalingo. Chairman Taraba State Hunters Association Mr. Dogo Amos has lauded the peace initiatives of Governor Agbu Kefas in the state. International Women's Day: L-PRES Gender Specialist Rahab Machoko urges physically challenged women to report any form of sexual assault.

As part of activity to commemorate  International Women's Day, the Gender based Specialist, Taraba  Livestock productivity and Resilience Support Project (LPRES), Mrs. Rahab Machoko, has  paid a visit to the physically challenged women to identify with them and give them a sense of belonging. Transportation: Alhaji Habu Umar is the legitimate Chairman AMDON Taraba State Chapter.
