By Jako Keke  [Jalingo Times] November 7,2026.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Takum Two State Constituency, Hon. Engr. Jude Adi, has called on Tarabans, particularly youths, to rally behind Senator Emmanuel Bwacha's governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adi made the appeal while interacting with journalists, where he urged voters to prioritise competence, credibility, experience and proven leadership records when making decisions at the polls.

He described Taraba State as a traditional stronghold of the PDP, noting that the party's longstanding political presence in the state provides a platform for renewed engagement with the electorate and the pursuit of people-oriented governance.

The PDP candidate expressed confidence in Bwacha's capacity to lead the state, citing his legislative experience and contributions to the development of Southern Taraba during his years at the National Assembly.

According to Adi, Bwacha's representation as Senator for Southern Taraba was characterised by interventions in community development, employment opportunities for youths and support for farmers through the provision of agricultural inputs.

He maintained that Bwacha's political experience and record of public service position him to address the developmental challenges confronting the state, while urging the electorate to carefully assess candidates based on their achievements, leadership capacity and commitment to public welfare.

On his legislative ambition, Adi outlined education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment and effective representation as major priorities of his proposed agenda for Takum Two Constituency.

He explained that his aspiration was driven by the desire to provide responsive and accessible representation that would ensure the needs and concerns of constituents receive adequate attention at both the state and local levels.

Adi stressed that the people of Takum Two deserved a representative who would remain connected to the grassroots, engage regularly with constituents and pursue practical solutions to challenges affecting their communities.

He further encouraged voters to recognise the power of the ballot in strengthening democratic accountability, insisting that elections provide citizens with the opportunity to assess leadership performance and make informed choices about their political future.

The PDP flagbearer consequently appealed to the people of Takum Two to support his candidacy, promising to prioritise inclusive governance, quality representation and sustainable development if elected.

He also called on Taraba youths to take an active interest in the political process and support leadership choices capable of advancing the state's development aspirations.
