The Executive Secretary of the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA), Dr. Echuseh Audu, has received the Fire Safety Ambassador Award in recognition of her leadership and contributions to emergency response and disaster management in Taraba State.
The award was presented during the annual Fire Safety Week organised by the Federal Fire Service, Taraba State Command, in collaboration with the Taraba State Fire Service, at the Federal Fire Service Headquarters in Jalingo.
The event, held under the theme, "Building a Fire Safety Resilient Nigeria, One Community at a Time," brought together representatives of security agencies, government institutions and other stakeholders to promote fire prevention, safety awareness and community resilience.
The honour recognises Dr. Audu's leadership at TSEMA and the agency's interventions in supporting communities affected by fire outbreaks, flooding and other emergencies across the state.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Audu dedicated the honour to God Almighty, Governor Agbu Kefas for his consistent financial support during emergencies, and the staff of TSEMA for their dedication and commitment to humanitarian service.
She also acknowledged the leadership of the Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Taraba State Command, ACF Samson Yakubu Dungu, for successfully organising the programme and strengthening collaboration among emergency response agencies.
The recognition further highlights the importance of inter-agency cooperation in strengthening disaster preparedness, promoting fire safety awareness and protecting lives and property across Taraba State.
