The Taraba State Environmental and Sanitation Agency (TSESA) has supported a sanitation exercise organised by MSc students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Taraba State University, Jalingo.
The exercise, which focused on waste evacuation and environmental hygiene, was supported by TSESA under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Hon. Iliya Kefas Alhaji.
As part of its contribution, the agency provided a waste evacuation van and other sanitation materials to facilitate the removal of refuse and promote a clean and healthy learning environment within the university community.
The TSESA management was received by the Dean and other leaders of the Faculty of Health Sciences, who expressed appreciation to the agency for supporting the initiative and demonstrating its commitment to environmental sanitation across Taraba State.
The faculty leadership also commended the Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for interventions in the education sector, particularly measures aimed at reducing the financial burden on students through the reduction of school fees.
They further appreciated the TSESA leadership for supporting initiatives that promote environmental cleanliness and contribute to the vision of a cleaner and greener Taraba.
The MSc students, on their part, called for greater collaboration with TSESA on environmental sanitation programmes, stressing their readiness to partner with the agency in promoting proper waste management, environmental hygiene and public health awareness.
The exercise underscored the importance of collaboration between government agencies and academic institutions in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable sanitation practices.
It also highlighted the commitment of the Kefas administration to creating a cleaner, healthier and greener Taraba State through coordinated efforts involving government institutions, educational communities and other stakeholders.
