Prof. Jerome Nyameh Mourns Mambilla Monarch’s Wife, Hajiya Hajara Baju

The Accord Party governorship candidate in Taraba State, Professor Jerome Nyameh, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Hajara Shehu Audu Baju II, wife of the Mambilla traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Dr. Shehu Audu Baju II.

Professor Nyameh, in a condolence message issued on behalf of himself, his family and his team, extended heartfelt condolences to the monarch, the royal family and the entire people of the Mambilla Plateau over the loss.

He described the death of Hajiya Hajara as a painful loss not only to the royal family but also to the Mambilla community and all those whose lives she had touched.

The Accord governorship candidate noted that the loss of a loved one, particularly a cherished wife, was a deeply painful experience that words could hardly provide comfort for.

He said his thoughts and prayers were with the monarch, the children, family members and the entire Mambilla community at the difficult moment.

Professor Nyameh prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.

He also prayed Allah to grant the bereaved royal family and all those mourning the deceased the strength, comfort and fortitude to bear the loss.

The Accord candidate further prayed for the eternal rest of the departed, calling on Allah to console the bereaved family.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
