A Senior Lecturer at Taraba State Polytechnic, Suntai, Jalingo Campus, Hon. Kamalu Aliyu Babando, has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for awarding foreign scholarships to young Tarabans to pursue master’s degree programmes at universities in India.
Babando, in a letter of appreciation to the governor, described the scholarship initiative as a significant investment in education and human capital development, saying it demonstrates the administration’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities for young people in the state.
He said the opportunity would not only support beneficiaries in advancing their academic careers but also equip them with knowledge and skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the development of Taraba State and Nigeria after completing their studies.
The lecturer expressed particular appreciation for the intervention at what he described as an important stage in the educational journey of young Tarabans, noting that access to quality postgraduate education remains critical to building a skilled workforce capable of driving sustainable development.
Babando urged the scholarship beneficiaries to regard the opportunity as a responsibility to the state, charging them to maximise their studies and return with expertise that could be deployed in addressing developmental challenges confronting Taraba.
He further prayed for wisdom and strength for Governor Kefas to sustain policies and programmes capable of advancing education and creating more opportunities for young people across the state.
“Once again, please accept my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for this invaluable support,” Babando said, while expressing optimism about the continuity of the governor’s administration.
He expressed his support for the governor, stating: “I say thank you, thank you. 4+4 assured,” while wishing Governor Kefas, Taraba State and Nigeria continued progress.
