DEATH: ECWA Vice Chairman Urges Christians to Live Godly Lives, Says Death Is Inevitable

The Vice Chairman of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) District Church Council, Reverend Timothy Saleh, has reminded Christians that death is inevitable for all mortals.

Reverend Saleh stated this in a sermon during the funeral service of the late Reverend Ephraim Jijingi, Resident Pastor of ECWA Gospel Shavon.

Taking his scriptural reading from the Book of Job, Chapter 7, verses 7 to 12, and speaking on the theme, “Who Knows Tomorrow?”, the cleric urged Christians to live lives that please God and shun sinful ways.

According to him, those who die in Christ are merely resting and would be resurrected on the last day.

Reverend Saleh noted that Prophet Job experienced both favourable and difficult circumstances but remained steadfast in his service to God.

He therefore encouraged Christians to remain faithful to God regardless of the circumstances they encounter in life.

The ECWA chairman described the late Reverend Jijingi as a dedicated servant of God who positively impacted the lives of people around him and contributed significantly to the growth of the church.

He said the deceased would be greatly missed by his family, colleagues, the church and the wider Christian community.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
