Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has approved the constitution of a Project Monitoring Committee to oversee road construction projects across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
The committee, according to a press release signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, Esq., is expected to strengthen monitoring and ensure effective implementation of road projects being executed by the state government.
The committee is chaired by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Muhammad Al-Ameen Ibraheem, while Arc. Hadiza Bello will chair the subcommittee covering Taraba North.
Other members are QS George Fai, who will chair the Taraba Central subcommittee, and Engr. Henry Bushi, who will chair the Taraba South subcommittee.
The committee also includes Engr. J.J. Luntsi, Director of Civil Engineering, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Development, who will serve as Member/Secretary.
The constitution of the committee is part of the state government's efforts to monitor road construction activities across the three senatorial districts and ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with approved standards and specifications.
