ANNIVERSARY: NANNM Taraba Chairman Felicitates Governor Kefas on Taraba’s 35th Anniversary.

The Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Taraba State Council, Comrade Nathaniel Pius Merigi, has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state.

Comrade Merigi in a press statement also rejoiced with the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Alkali; the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena; members of the State Legislature and Executive Council, as well as the Chairmen of the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.

He described the anniversary as an important moment for Tarabans to pause, reflect on the journey so far, celebrate achievements, and renew their commitment to the continued development and progress of the state.

Comrade Merigi commended Governor Agbu Kefas for his leadership qualities and development-oriented initiatives, while calling for greater support for the administration to enable it to achieve more for the people of Taraba.

He further assured the governor of the continued support and cooperation of nurses and midwives across the state towards the success of the Kefas-led administration.

“On this auspicious occasion, we, the nurses and midwives across Taraba State, pledge our continued support to the Kefas-led administration as it works towards improving the lives of our people and advancing the development of our dear state,” he said.

Comrade Merigi once again congratulated Governor Agbu Kefas, the government and people of Taraba State on the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state, wishing Taraba continued peace, unity and sustainable development.

SCHOOL: Taraba Nursing College Denies ₦5,250 Extortion Allegation Linked to NELFUND Loan.

The Management of the Taraba State College of Nursing and Midwifery Jalingo has denied allegations circulating on social media that it extorted ₦5,250 from students following the disbursement of funds under the (NELFUND). The allegation, which was attributed to one Abdulmumin Imam in a social media post, claimed that the management of the college, including the Provost, compelled students to pay the amount after receiving their NELFUND loans. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
