TARABA:NEMA, TSEMA Deliver Relief Materials to Communal Clash Victims in Taraba.

Victims of the recent communal clash in Bissaulla, Kurmi Local Government Area of Taraba State have received relief materials through a joint humanitarian intervention by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA).

The intervention team was led by Malut Hussain, who represented the Director-General of NEMA, Hajiya Zubaida Umar. Addressing the beneficiaries during the distribution exercise, Hussain expressed the agency's sympathy to families affected by the crisis and reaffirmed NEMA's commitment to providing prompt humanitarian assistance to communities impacted by disasters and conflicts.

He noted that the intervention underscored the Federal Government's resolve to alleviate the suffering of displaced and vulnerable persons while supporting efforts aimed at restoring normalcy in the affected community.

Representing the Executive Secretary of TSEMA, Dr. Echuseh Audu, the Director of Administration, Mr. Sani Maisukwati, commended NEMA for its swift response and praised the strong collaboration between the federal and state emergency management agencies in addressing the needs of the victims.

Maisukwati also acknowledged the support of the Taraba State Government under Governor Agbu Kefas, saying the administration remained committed to ensuring that humanitarian assistance reached affected residents without delay.

Items distributed during the exercise included food and non-food relief materials such as bags of rice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, salt, tomato paste, seasoning cubes, mats, printed wax and guinea brocade fabrics. Officials from both agencies supervised the distribution to ensure transparency, fairness and that the assistance reached the most vulnerable households.

The two agencies reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with local authorities and community leaders to sustain recovery efforts, promote lasting peace and restore hope and dignity to victims of the communal conflict in Bissaulla.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
