SANITATION: TSESA Enforces Sanitation as Mobile Court Tries Offenders in Jalingo.

The Taraba State Environmental Sanitation Agency (TSESA) on Saturday carried out its monthly environmental sanitation exercise across Jalingo, with officials sweeping major roads, clearing drainages, evacuating refuse dumps, and enforcing compliance with sanitation regulations.

The exercise, which commenced at 6:00 a.m., witnessed the restriction of vehicular movement to enable residents and sanitation workers to clean the state capital. Markets, shops, motor parks, bus stops, and other public places remained closed throughout the exercise.

Speaking after monitoring the exercise, the Chairman of TSESA, Hon. Iliya Kefas Alhaji, commended the agency's staff for their dedication and support, describing the exercise as peaceful and successful.

He disclosed that individuals who violated the state's environmental sanitation laws were arrested and prosecuted by the Mobile Court in line with existing regulations.

Hon. Alhaji also appreciated the continued support of the Taraba State Government in promoting environmental cleanliness and public health through regular sanitation exercises.

He urged residents to complement government efforts by maintaining clean surroundings and participating actively in the monthly sanitation exercise, stressing that environmental hygiene is a shared responsibility.

Our correspondents observed TSESA personnel clearing gutters and drainages, removing refuse from waterways, and cleaning public spaces in several parts of Jalingo, including Ruby Roundabout, Michelin, Mayo-Gwoi, PDP Roundabout, Pharmacist Danbaba Suntai Road, and the Jalingo Flyover at Roadblock.

The monthly sanitation exercise forms part of the state's ongoing efforts to improve environmental cleanliness, prevent flooding, and safeguard public health through proper waste management and community participation.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
