Gov Kefas' Digital Drive: TSUBEB Trains Teachers on IPAD-Powered Learning In Taraba.

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board, TSUBEB, has flagged off a capacity-building program for teachers on a new digital application and framework aimed at advancing ICT in teaching and learning.

The program commenced with Master Trainers Workshop. The master trainers will step down the training to teachers across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.

The new digital system comes with an iPad pre-installed with the application and is designed to enhance teaching activities and promote digital literacy in basic schools.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Chairperson of TSUBEB, Mrs. Christiana Binga, said the program reflects the Board’s commitment to improving the quality of education in Taraba State.

“This initiative is about equipping our teachers with the digital skills needed for modern teaching and learning. The future of education is technology-driven, and our teachers must be armed with the capacity to meet the demands of the 21st-century classroom,” Binga said.

She commended the visionary and result-oriented leadership of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, noting that the administration has made education a top priority.

“The Governor’s investment in education continues to create opportunities for both teachers and learners in the state to explore new ideas capable of breaking new grounds in the education sector,” she added.

The flag off was done by the Commissioner for Nursery and Basic Education, Hajiya Fatimah Habeeb, who was represented by the ministry's Permanent Secretary. She eulogized Gov Kefas' digital drive towards basic education and also praised the ICT department of the Board for handling their task on this with high level professionalism and efficiency.

The event was attended by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, the Commissioner for Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education amongst other key stakeholders in the education sector.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
