INTERVENTION:Rainstorm Victims in Taraba Receive Relief as TSEMA, NEMA Step In.

Households affected by recent rainstorm and windstorm disasters in Zing Local Government Area of Taraba State have received relief materials from the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA) in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

The distribution exercise formed part of ongoing humanitarian efforts aimed at assisting families impacted by the natural disasters across the affected communities.

Speaking during the exercise, the representative of the Director-General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, Mr. Malut Adam Hussain, conveyed the agency's sympathy to the victims and reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to supporting communities affected by disasters.

Also addressing beneficiaries, the Director of Technical Services at TSEMA, Mr. Bakari Karfe Kwanci, who represented the Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr. Echuseh Audu Katuka, conveyed the sympathy of Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to the affected households.

He said the state government, through TSEMA, remains committed to providing timely humanitarian assistance to disaster victims and urged beneficiaries to make good use of the relief materials to ease the hardship caused by the storms and aid their recovery.

Kwanci also commended the strong partnership between TSEMA and NEMA, as well as the support of traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders, which he said ensured a transparent and orderly distribution process.

Communities that benefited from the intervention include Zing A, Sabon Peggi, Zing B, Monkin A, Monkin B, Bitako, Bubong and Yakoko.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Village Head, Mr. Peter Makwa Matsayi, expressed appreciation to Governor Agbu Kefas and the leadership of TSEMA for the timely intervention, describing the assistance as a significant relief for families struggling with the aftermath of the rainstorm and windstorm.

Officials of TSEMA and NEMA, alongside security personnel and community representatives, supervised the distribution exercise, which was conducted peacefully with emphasis on transparency, accountability and fairness.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
