The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Taraba State Chapter, has congratulated Governor Agbu Kefas on his conferment with the International Golden Image Award of Excellence, describing the honour as a reflection of his leadership and development-driven administration.
The award was presented in Monrovia, Liberia, alongside honours conferred on Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung by renowned social worker and advocate for excellence, Ambassador Juli Endee.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Chairman of ALGON in Taraba State and Chairman of Kurmi Local Government Council, Hon. Moses Maihankali, said the recognition was a testament to Governor Kefas' commitment to transforming Taraba through purposeful governance.
Speaking on behalf of the sixteen Local Government Council Chairmen in the state, Maihankali described the Governor as a "Moving Forward Champion," noting that the international recognition underscores the positive impact of his administration across various sectors.
He said Governor Kefas' investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, human capital development and environmental rehabilitation have continued to attract commendation both within Nigeria and internationally.
According to the ALGON Chairman, the award further validates the administration's efforts to improve the lives of Taraba residents through policies and programmes focused on sustainable development.
Maihankali reaffirmed the commitment of all sixteen Local Government Chairmen to maintaining a strong working relationship with the state government, pledging their continued support in advancing the Governor's "Moving Forward" agenda.
He also urged residents of the state to remain united and continue supporting the Governor's administration to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and accelerating socio-economic growth.
