INAUGURATION: Hon. Davoro Inaugurates Zing LG Cabinet, Charges Appointees on Selfless Service

The Executive Chairman of Zing Local Government Area, Hon. Davoro K. Titus, has inaugurated members of his executive cabinet, urging them to see their appointments as an opportunity for selfless service and impactful leadership.

The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the Executive Chamber of the local government secretariat, was conducted by the Chief Magistrate of Zing LGA, Mrs. Iya Apollo, who administered the oath of office to the new Secretary of the Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Anthony Hajara Mazang, as well as the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers.

Addressing the appointees, Hon. Davoro reminded them that leadership is a call to service rather than an avenue for personal privilege, stressing that public office is temporary and that only outstanding performance would leave a lasting legacy.

He also charged them to remain loyal to the administration and provide purposeful leadership capable of justifying the confidence reposed in them by the people.

The chairman described the new Secretary of the Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Hajara Mazang, as a seasoned professional whose vast experience in the civil service would add value to the administration and strengthen service delivery across the council.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated Supervisory Councillors, Hon. Mrs. Hajara expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman and stakeholders for the opportunity to serve, assuring that the team would work diligently to advance the administration's objectives and would not betray the trust placed in them.

Also speaking, Hon. Abdulrazaz, on behalf of the Special Advisers, pledged the commitment of the appointees to their responsibilities, promising to discharge their duties with dedication and in the best interest of the people of Zing Local Government Area.

The inauguration marks a significant step in the consolidation of the Davoro administration as it seeks to strengthen governance and accelerate development across the local government.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
