By Jako Keke May 27, 2026.

Hon. Bulus Maiyaki, popularly known as Makaman Donga, has extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims in Taraba State and across the country, urging citizens to promote unity, peace, and mutual understanding for the progress of society.

In a Sallah message issued on Wednesday, Maiyaki described Eid-el-Kabir as a significant period that reflects the virtues of sacrifice, faith, and compassion as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

He noted that the celebration should serve as an opportunity for reflection, strengthening relationships within communities, and supporting the less privileged in society.

According to him, the festival goes beyond merriment and should inspire citizens to pray for the peace, stability, and development of Taraba State and Nigeria.

“Eid-el-Kabir is not only a season of celebration but also a time to sacrifice for one another, pray for the peace and progress of our state and nation, and support leaders working towards development,” he stated.

The Makaman Donga also called on Muslims and residents of the state to remember Gov. Dr. Agbu Kefas, political office holders, and traditional rulers in prayers, asking God to grant them wisdom and guidance in leadership.

“I urge all citizens to continue praying for Gov. Agbu Kefas and all leaders across the state. Their success in leadership will translate into growth and prosperity for Taraba State,” Maiyaki added.

He commended the Muslim Ummah for their contributions to the socio-economic development of the state and reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives aimed at promoting religious harmony, education, and grassroots development in Donga Local Government Area and beyond.

Maiyaki also appreciated his supporters for their solidarity and goodwill during the festive season, while praying that Allah accepts the sacrifices of the faithful and blesses the nation with lasting peace, prosperity, and good health.
