The Governorship Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in Taraba State, Hon. Magaji Bulus Gago, has pledged to reposition the state through people-oriented policies aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens if elected into office in the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Gago made the declaration shortly after he was officially returned as the party’s flagbearer during the AAC governorship primaries held in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

Addressing party faithful and supporters after his emergence, the AAC candidate said his administration would focus on a comprehensive seven-point agenda designed to tackle the major socio-economic challenges confronting the state.

According to him, key priorities of his administration would include job creation, youth empowerment, improved security, quality education, and accessible healthcare services.

He added that his government would also pay special attention to reviving the agricultural sector, promoting industrialisation, and accelerating infrastructural development across the state.

Hon. Gago noted that Taraba State is richly blessed with abundant natural and human resources but lamented that the state has yet to fully harness its potentials for sustainable growth and development.

He assured residents that his administration would pursue policies that encourage economic growth, attract investments, create employment opportunities for young people, and improve rural development.

The AAC flagbearer further called on the people of the state to rally behind his aspiration, insisting that the time had come for a new leadership capable of transforming Taraba for the better.

“We are determined to change the narrative and give the people of Taraba a government that truly works for them,” he stated.

Hon. Gago also expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the African Action Congress for the confidence reposed in him, promising not to betray the trust placed on him.

He pledged to run an issue-based campaign anchored on transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance, while urging party supporters to remain united ahead of the elections.
