Hon. Danjuma Shiddi, the APGA governorship aspirant, has launched the “Rescue Taraba” campaign. He promised to restore security, revive infrastructure, and create economic opportunities across the state.
Speaking to party leaders, youths, women, and the press, Shiddi called it “a solemn pledge to secure our communities, revive decaying infrastructure, and uplift farmers.” He said Tarabans deserve leadership that turns promises into real progress.
Shiddi outlined the state’s challenges: poor market access for farmers, daily struggles to feed families, and rising insecurity on highways and farmlands. He stressed that these issues won’t be solved by empty rhetoric.
His five-point plan covers security, agriculture, education, healthcare, jobs, and accountable governance. It includes community policing, rural roads, agro-processing hubs, school and hospital upgrades, and expanded mobile healthcare.
On jobs, Shiddi pledged apprenticeships, microcredit for small businesses, and partnerships to create employment in agriculture, tourism, and renewable energy. He promised a transparent government that accounts for every naira.
He urged unity across party, ethnic, and religious lines. “Give me the chance to serve, and I will rescue Taraba from neglect, restore hope, and build a future for everyone,” he said.
