VISIT: Aspirant Hon. Maxwell Koppi Declares for Gassol II Assembly Seat, Seeks Grassroots Backing.

A political aspirant, Hon. Maxwell Koppi Gassolhas formally declared his intention to contest for the position of Member, Taraba State House of Assembly, representing Gassol II Constituency, following an official visit to his ward headquarters in Namnai.

The declaration was made during an engagement with party stakeholders in Namnai where the aspirant outlined his vision for effective representation, youth empowerment, and sustainable development in the constituency.

Addressing party members at the grassroots, Hon Koppi  the aspirant emphasized the importance of inclusive governance and pledged to prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people if elected. 


He noted that his ambition is driven by a desire to bridge the gap between leadership and the electorate through transparency, accountability, and responsive representation.

The visit drew the presence of key figures within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including the Ward Chairman,Hon Lawrence Namnai who commended the aspirant’s courage and determination. 


Namnai described the declaration as a positive step, particularly highlighting the aspirant’s youthful energy and commitment to public service.

He further called on party members to remain united and supportive, stressing the need to nurture emerging leaders capable of driving progress at both the constituency and state levels. 


According to him, empowering credible young politicians is essential to sustaining the party’s relevance and delivering good governance.

Political observers in the area say the early declaration signals the beginning of what could be a competitive race for the Gassol II seat, with increased emphasis on youth participation and grassroots mobilization expected to shape the dynamics of the contest.

The aspirant, in his closing remarks, reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining close engagement with constituents, promising to listen to their concerns and represent their interests diligently. He described the ward-level consultation as a crucial milestone in his political journey and a foundation for building broader support ahead of the elections.

Gassol II Constituency remains a key political bloc in Taraba State, and stakeholders believe that sustained dialogue between aspirants and party faithful will play a decisive role in determining the party’s candidate and eventual electoral outcomes.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention.
