The Taraba State Government has extended its condolences to the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) and bereaved families following a fatal road accident involving an Evangelical Outreach Team from Kaduna State.
Conveying the message on behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas, the Special Adviser on Christian Religious Matters, Very Rev. Fr. Sunday Patrick Muke, visited the affected families and church community to express the government’s sympathy over the incident.
The accident, which occurred along the Gombe–Bauchi road while the team was returning from an outreach programme, claimed the lives of three members—Mrs. Lydia John, Rev. Habila T. Kajang, and Mrs. Deborah Bonet.
Describing the incident as deeply tragic, Muke said the deceased were committed servants whose contributions to evangelism and the Christian faith would be sorely missed.
He also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured in the crash, who have been referred from the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe to Jos for advanced medical care.
The Special Adviser further prayed for divine comfort for the grieving families and strength for all those affected by the loss.
The condolence visit underscores the state government’s solidarity with the Christian community during this period of mourning.
