The has announced the appointment of Hon. as the Director-General of its Department of Women Affairs.

The appointment, conveyed in an official letter dated March 24, 2026, takes immediate effect, signaling a strategic move by the organization to strengthen women-focused programs and grassroots mobilization across the country.

According to the letter signed by the National Secretary, , Solomon is expected to assume full responsibility for overseeing, coordinating, and supervising activities and programs targeted at women at the state level.

The statement noted that her appointment places her at the forefront of driving initiatives aimed at empowering women within the movement’s structure, as well as enhancing participation and engagement at the grassroots.

“She is to oversee, coordinate and supervise the activities/programs of women in states,” the letter stated, adding that she would take over from the former office holder with immediate effect.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.
