APC Congress: Leah Solomon Hails Peaceful Process in Zing, Calls for Women Inclusion.

A political stalwart in Zing Local Government Area of , Hon. Leah Olusuyi Solomon, has commended the peaceful conduct of the (APC) Local Government Congress in the area.

Hon. Solomon, who serves as Chairman of the Governing Council of the (CSDP), gave the commendation in an interview with journalists shortly after the exercise

.

She described the hitch-free congress as a demonstration of internal democracy and unity among party faithful in Zing, noting that the consensus arrangement adopted by stakeholders reflected maturity and cooperation within the party.

The CSDP Chairman congratulated the newly elected officials who emerged through consensus and urged them to work towards strengthening cohesion among members to further consolidate the party’s presence in the local government.

Hon. Solomon also called on residents of Zing who are yet to formally register with the APC to do so, emphasizing that broader participation would enhance grassroots development. She applauded the impressive turnout during the registration exercise, which reportedly placed Zing fourth among local government areas with the highest number of registered APC members in the state.

While expressing optimism about the future of the party in the area, she stressed the need for greater inclusion of women in governance. According to her, empowering more women with leadership opportunities at both the local government and state levels would promote balanced representation and sustainable development.

She urged party members and the people of Zing to remain united and committed to the collective growth of the APC and the overall progress of the state.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
