The All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration mobilisation committee in Zing Local Government Area has been formally inaugurated, with party leaders and stakeholders outlining strategies to boost grassroots participation ahead of upcoming political activities.

The inaugural meeting, held on Sunday, January 26, at the Government Lodge in Zing, brought together key figures including the Taraba State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Aishat A. Barde, and the Executive Chairman of Zing Local Government, Hon. Prince Davoro K. Titus. Also in attendance were the committee chairman, Hon. Godwin Villana William, Hon. John Luka, Mr. Linus Ibrahim, and other committee members.
Discussions at the meeting centred on developing practical ideas and effective strategies to mobilise citizens of Zing Local Government to register with the APC through the ongoing e-registration exercise. Participants emphasised the need for inclusive engagement at ward and community levels to ensure widespread awareness and participation.
As part of its activities, the committee paid a courtesy visit to the Kpanti Zing, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim Sambo, to formally inform him of the commencement of the APC e-registration exercise and to seek his royal blessings. The visit was aimed at fostering community support and ensuring smooth mobilisation across the local government area.
Responding, the traditional ruler assured the committee of his fatherly support while reaffirming his responsibility to all citizens, regardless of political affiliation. He commended the committee’s commitment and dedication, urging them to encourage eligible residents to register and actively participate in the forthcoming electioneering process.
The meeting and royal engagement mark the beginning of coordinated efforts by the APC to strengthen its presence and organisational structure in Zing Local Government Area.
