OBITUARY: Commissioner Aishat Barde Mourns Ex–Zing LG Chairman, Kallamu Alhamdu.

The Honorable Commissioner of Environment and Climate Change in Taraba State, Hon. Aishat A. Barde, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Chairman of Zing A2 Stakeholders Forum and former Executive Chairman of Zing Local Government Area, Hon. Kallamu Alhamdu.

In a condolence message issued by her office, the Commissioner said she received the news of Alhamdu’s passing with shock and sadness. Hon. Kallamu Alhamdu died in the early hours of Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

Hon. Barde, fondly described as Zinariyan Mumuyawa, extended her heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Zing A2 Stakeholders Forum, the Forum of Special Advisers, and the entire Mumuye race.

She described the late Alhamdu as a man of peace, commitment, and selfless service, noting that he was a true son of the soil who dedicated his life to the progress, unity, and development of his people.

According to the Commissioner, the death of Hon. Kallamu Alhamdu is a great loss not only to Zing Local Government Area and the Mumuye nation but also to all who believe in community development and sincere leadership.

She prayed that Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family, associates, and the entire Mumuye people the strength to bear the irreparable loss, adding that his good works and legacies would continue to speak for him.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
