Jalingo, Dec. 21, 2025 — The Executive Chairman of Kurmi Local Government Council, Hon. Moses Maihankali, has extended warm Christmas and New Year felicitations to Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, and the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Hon. Maihankali, on behalf of his political associates, friends and family, also congratulated other top government functionaries, including the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps; the Head of Service; members of the State House of Assembly; Commissioners; Permanent Secretaries; traditional rulers; as well as the Christian community across the state.
The Kurmi council boss, who doubles as Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Taraba State Chapter, commended Governor Kefas’ administration for what he described as its developmental strides and people-oriented policies aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
He called on the people of Taraba State to continue to give maximum support to the present administration to enable it consolidate on its achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
Hon. Maihankali further urged Christians to observe the Christmas season in a godly and peaceful manner, stressing that the celebration should embody love, humility and righteousness.
According to him, such virtues would ensure that acts of worship during the festive period are pleasing to God and contribute to peaceful coexistence in the state.
He wished Christians a successful and peaceful Christmas celebration, while praying for a joyous, prosperous and fulfilling New Year for all residents of Taraba State.
