YULETIDE: NSCDC TARABA COMMAND DEPLOYS 1600 PERSONNEL, TACTICAL UNITS FOR HITCH FREE CELEBRATION.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command has deployed a total number of One Thousand Six Hundred personnel across the length and breadth of Taraba State to ensure a peaceful Christmas and new year celebrations.

While announcing the deployment of the personnel, the State Commandant Anthony Bala Bitrus said all relevant tactical units of the Corps have also been deployed for the same purpose.

The Command's Spokesman SC Iliya Samaila disclosed this in a Press Statement issued to the Jalingo Times.

The Commandant explained that the Rapid Response Squad, Special Female Squad, Anti kidnapping Squad and the Operation Safe Jalingo have all been deployed with strict instruction to remove every threat to peace and security before, during and after the celebrations.

Commandant Anthony instructed the personnel deployed to show utmost professionalism all through the period of the celebrations as he would not condone any act of indiscipline by any of his personnel.

The State Commandant congratulated all Christians in the state for witnessing yet another Christmas and urged them to show love to their neighbours which is the cardinal message of Christmas. He advised all who are celebrating to be moderate in their celebration and be security conscious.

The Commandant then called on all well meaning citizens of Taraba State to report any suspicious persons or activities around them to the nearest security agency.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
