NSCDC TARABA COMMAND TAKES DELIVERY OF MOTORCYCLES, SOLAR POWER INSTALLATION FOR SMOOTH OPERATIONS.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command has taken delivery of nine (9) HUNTER 100 Motorcycles from the Taraba State Government.

The government said the donation was to ease access of the security agencies to remote areas in the state in order to stem the tide of insecurity.

While receiving the motorcycles, the State Commandant Anthony Bala Bitrus thanked His Excellency the Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas for the kind gesture shown to his Command. He promised that the personnel of the Command would make good use of the motorcycles in their operations.

The Commandant handed over the keys of the motorcycles to the MTO of the Command with strict instructions to ensure proper maintainance of the vehicles.

It will be recalled that the present administration in Taraba State has donated fourteen (14) brand new operational vehicles as well as refurbished ten (10) old ones for the smooth running of the Command's operation.

In another development, the Commandant also inspected Solar power installation meant for the Control Room of the Command.

The Control Room which is the brain child of the NSCDC CNAI Department in collaboration with the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) is created to respond swiftly to distress calls within the state.

The Commandant expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far. He instructed the head of the CNAI to ensure the completion of the project.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.
