COMMANDANT BB ANTHONY PARADES SUSPECTED VANDALS IN JALINGO.

The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command Anthony Bala Bitrus has today paraded suspected vandals at the Command Headquarters Mile six Jalingo.

Commandant Anthony while parading the suspects said the arrest of the suspected vandals came as a result of active collaboration between the NSCDC Anti Vandal Unit and men of the Nigerian Army.

This is contained in a Press Statement issued to the Jalingo Times by the Command's Spokesman SCS Iliya Samaila.

Among those paraded are Abbas Aliyu (35) and Abdullahi Yusuf (20) who were arrested at Bantaje in Wukari Local Government area of Taraba State in possession of over One Hundred and eight vandalized NNPC pipelines.

Also paraded were Abubakar Ibrahim (25), Auwal Muhammed (22), and Umar Mustapha (27) who were arrested on 20/12/2024 at Jauro Manu in Ardo Kola LGA of Taraba State for vandalizing the YEDC transformer in the community. The suspects were caught red handed while trying to vandalize another transformer.

Ishaya Madaki (18) was paraded for vandalizing power cables belonging to the Taraba State Secretariat.

The Statement added that the cable measuring 39 ft was removed from the site of construction at the Secretariat where Ishaya was working as Engineering assistant.

Similarly,the Commandant

paraded three suspects arrested at Roadblock Jalingo with a truck load of vandalized NNPC pipelines numbering up to 37 pieces. The suspects, Shafi'u Yahaya (32), Ikira Dauda (25) and Umar Sani (15) confessed that the pipelines were removed from Doruwa in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The Suspects have all admitted to having committed the offences and will be charged to Court for immediate prosecution.

Commandant Anthony called on all Tarabans to maintain vigilance around critical assets and infrastructures provided by the government for their benefit. He urged them to report all suspicious persons sighted around public assets and infrastructures to the nearest security agency.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.
