Creation Anniversary: Mumuye Cultural Development Association calls for peaceful living as Taraba State celebrates its thirty-third Anniversary.


The Mumuye Cultural Development Association MCDA Taraba State Chapter wish to congratulate Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas and his Deputy Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali on the occasion of the thirty-third Anniversary of the state's creation.

The Association also felicitates the Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly RT Hon John Kizito Bonzena, Members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Permanent Secretary, Traditional rulers, Chairmen of the local government Councils as Taraba State clocked thirty-three years after its creation in 1990.

 The Association appreciated the efforts of past leaders, mostly, particularly the Former Governor of Taraba State, Reverend Dr Jolly Nyame, and the late Danbaba Suntai, among other leaders, for their immense contribution towards the development of the State.

It says as Tarabans celebrate the Anniversary under Dr Agbu Kefas's administration it lauded his Initiative in the education, security, health, Agriculture and Human development in Taraba State.

The MCDA encourages Tarabans to accord the present government in the Taraba State to succeed in providing dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the citizenry.

It urges Tarabans to always prioritize promoting peace and unity as these areas are the panacea for meaningful development in the state.
The statement partly reads' "At 33yrs Taraba State has grown to be a mature state, and it behoves Tarabans to invest in the industrialization of the state to provide job opportunities for our teeming unemployed youths to contribute positively to the progress of the State we all envisaged.

The Association further enjoinsTarabans to eschew all forms of segregation and bitterness to build a common course of developing the state to compete favourably with other states of the federation and also pray for our leaders at all levels.

"We congratulate Taraba State on the thirty-third Anniversary and wish Tarabans a peaceful Celebration" it added.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
