Politics: Ex-Gov Nyame expresses confidence on Dr Agbu Kefas Government.

Former Governor of Taraba State Jolly Nyame has expressed confidence on the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas in the state.

The Former Governor stated this in an interview with newsmen in Takum.

Jolly Nyame said he has seen the commitment and Resilence as well as determination of Governor Agbu Kefas to develop the state and urged Tarabans to accord him the needed support to Succeed.

He said the effort by Governor Agbu Kefas to renovate the Jolly Nyame stadium Jalingo, Contract for the construction of modern abattoir in Jalingo, renovation of Government Day Secondary School Nyamusala, Jalingo among others are indicators that Dr Agbu Kefas will perform excellent in the state.

The Former Governor however said to address the insecurity in the state,farmers should be provided with a peaceful atmosphere to go back to farm.

He remarked that Taraba is an agrarian state and if Farmers are supported with improved seeds, chemicals , tractors among other inputs it will go a long way to boost food production.

The Former Governor who is the Dabang Yorro called on Tarabans to bury their differences and support the course of developing the state.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire. Their primary target was said to be Baba Umaru Gambo, a former youth leader of the community and current Commander of the Taraba Marshal in Kurmi Local Government Area.
