Security: Chief of Kwajji Umaru Nyala,others kidnapped in Pupule.

Reports from Pupule Community of Yorro Local Government of Taraba State says, the second class Chief of Kwajji, Umaru Abubakar Nyala and sixteen others have been kidnapped.

They were picked by a heavily armed gun men suspected to be kidnappers who invaded the village at about two o'clock in the morning shooting sporadically in different parts of the village.

Among the seventeen people kidnapped is a pregnant woman, people of same family and the son of the third class Chief and his orderly.

This is the third time kidnapping for ransom happened in the village in less than six months.

Speaking a resident of the area who preferred not be named said the gunmen invaded the area and kidnapped twenty one people including the chief of Kwajji.

He added that a police officer attached to Pupule police outpost and some christian Clergies who came for burial in the area were also abducted.

Efforts to contact the Taraba state Police Command Spokesman SP Abdullahi Usman proved abortive as he was not responding to calls put across to him.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
