Culture: Kambu race calls for unity and progress to thrive.

Chairman Caretaker Committee of Kambu Cultural Development Association, Rtd. Col. A. N. Adamu (Shettima Mambilla) said unity remains the cornerstone of progress in every society.

Col. Abdulkarim Adamu said this during the Thanksgiving and reunion ceremony of the association in Jalingo.

The CTC who is the Shettima Mambilla appreciated sons and daughters of Kambu race who have continued to promote unity despite daunting challenges faced in the past.

The Shettima Mambilla lauded the efforts of prominent Kambu stakeholders the former speaker Rt.Hon Abel Peter Diah,DCN member Representing Mbamnga constituency, Secretary to the Government of the State Gebon Timothy Kataps, member Representing Nguroje DCN Nelson C. Len and Special Adviser on Political matters to the Governor Honorable Abubakar Bawa as well as the Paramount Ruler of Mambilla Kingdom Dr. Shehu Audu Baju II for standing for by the association to succeed.

The CTC Chairman remarked that the gathering is to rekindle the unity among them and chat out ways of bringing more initiatives that will move the Kambu race forward.

He reiterated the readiness of the caretaker Committee to within the period of its leadership organised and conduct Elections for the substantive Executives that will run the affairs of the association in the country.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area.
