Newly elected NUJ Taraba State Council Chair takes over from his predecessor.

The newly elected officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Taraba State Council has been asked to support the present government of Doctor kefas Agbu.

Former chairman of the council Comrade David Nyah Stated this while handing over the affairs of the council to the New executives at the Press Center Jalingo.

He said that the Kefas government has done much in supporting the NUJ in the State especially during its election.

David called for support from members to enable the new officials of the council succeed.

Responding the new chairman of the State council Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen thanked the out gone chairman for his visionary leadership saying he will build on his successes.

Mathew Jen said Said the present Executives will be Base on collaboration and not confrontation.

He called on journalists in the state to support the officials saying it is a new dawn for NUJ in the state.

SCHOOL: Taraba Nursing College Denies ₦5,250 Extortion Allegation Linked to NELFUND Loan.

The Management of the Taraba State College of Nursing and Midwifery Jalingo has denied allegations circulating on social media that it extorted ₦5,250 from students following the disbursement of funds under the (NELFUND). The allegation, which was attributed to one Abdulmumin Imam in a social media post, claimed that the management of the college, including the Provost, compelled students to pay the amount after receiving their NELFUND loans. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
