Fears as Gunmen Kidnapped District Head of Alingora, 8 others in Ardo kola LGA Taraba State.

Alingora residents were thrown in to confusion following the invasion of the Community and subsequent kidnapped of Community leader and others.
The District Head of Malam Alingora in the Ardo Kola local government area Bello Alingora and eight others have been abducted.

It was gathered that the armed bandits who were in their numbers stormed the village and operated for hours unchallenged.

A resident of the area, Buba Malam Alingora told our reporter on the telephone that the attackers arrived at the village around nine in the evening and spent about six hours operating.

He further explained that the whereabouts of the victims are still unknown and the abductors have not contacted their families the situation he said has thrown them into fear.

Similarly, another eleven persons were abducted in Jauro Bakari village of Lau local government area in the early hours of Monday.

An eyewitness who confirmed the attack said the bandits were in significant numbers.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer SP Abdullahi Usman said the command was not aware of the incident. 

The incident is coming barely seventy-two hours after the killing of a pregnant woman and abduction of many in Yelwan Abare village of Jalingo local government area.

Governor Agbu Kefas has been meeting with heads of security operatives in the state to contain the spate of insecurity.

TARABA: Jenjo Youth Wing Disowns Magaji Gago’s Alleged Remarks Against Kefas, Reaffirms Loyalty.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. He made the remarks during a press briefing where he recounted the latest attack and appealed for urgent government intervention. According to Ismaila, the Bissaula community was thrown into panic on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., when unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of the Ndaka-Chamba militia, stormed the village and opened fire.
