Kamalu Babando: Engagement of Ten thousand Youths on Monthly allowances is timely.

Governor Agbu Kefas has been described as a pragmatic leader who have Tarabans at heart.

An Educationist In Taraba State,Kamalu Aliyu Babando stated this in an interview with our reporter in Jalingo.

Kamalu said the decision of the Governor to engage ten thousand youths on monthly allowances of fifteen thousand naira to cushion the effect of Subsidy removal as timely.

Kamalu Babando who is a senior Lecturer in Taraba state Polytechnic Suntai,Jalingo Campus equally lauded the governor Agbu Kefas for constituting Palliative Committee to give people of the state a sense of hope.

He remarked that the measures adopted is an indicators that the Governor prioritize the welfare of the citizens.

Babando said now that the governor has approved the implementation of the thirty thousand national minimum wage, there is the need for workers in Taraba state to redouble their efforts in developing the state.

Kamalu who however lamented the effect of Subsidy removal metted out on the public that has led to astronomical rise in prices of foodstuff and other essential commodities,said  the Governor should set up Price Regulatory and Control Committee in the state.

He said if that is done it would help to checkmate the activities of hoarders whose mission is to amound wealth at the detriment of the poor masses.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area.
