PDP: Dr David,Bonafide member Kassa A ward.

Dr David Ishaya Kassa remains PDP member in Kassa A ward.

The People's Democratic Party PDP executives of Kassa A ward, Yorro local government area has faulted  what they described as purported suspension of its member and Former Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr David Ishaya Kassa.

Chairman of the PDP Kassa A ward, Mr Geoffrey Mading in a press briefing said the action of the Chairman of the party for Yorro local government area chapter Mr Anthony David to have suspended the PDP stalwart contravene the PDP rules of operations.

Mr Geoffrey Mading quoted article 8(3),9 article 57(1)(2)(4) of the PDP constitution 2017 as amended saying it is only the ward executives that have the power to register members at ward level, initiate any disciplinary proceedings and suspend or expel a member adding that the Local Government executives of the party doesn't have to suspend a member of the party.

Mading affirmed the Membership status of the former Commissioner Dr David Ishaya Kassa as bonafide member of the party.
The ward chairman revealed that as a matter of fact,Dr David Ishaya Kassa is a pride of PDP in Yorro local government area, adding that he has worked tirelessly for the party and contributed immensely to the growth of the party.

He said the Ward executives of the party in Kassa A ward will not standby to watch any group of charlatans speak ill of him without basis or authority.

He said in exercising her power,the PDP Kassa A ward executives accordingly suspend the PDP chairman for Yorro local government area Hon Anthony David from the party and requested that he should avail himself before the disciplinary committee of the ward.
He added that Hon Anthony David should immediately handover all properties of the party in his possession and desist from parading himself as a member of the PDP until he has been cleared his name before the ward disciplinary Committee.

The Chairman remarked that for avoidance of doubt,Dr David Ishaya Kassa has been up to date in payment of all party dues st ward level.

Geoffrey recalled that in this years Governorship Elections, PDP won with an overwhelming majority vote in Kassa A ward with a total votes of about two thousand one hundred and seventy eight the highest in votes obtain in the eleven wards of the council.
He said the ward executives decision will be communicated to the state working Committee of the PDP for its record and action..
