TRAINING: 204 Taraba Fire Service Recruits Leave for Professional Training in Lagos

No fewer than 204 newly recruited personnel of the Taraba State Fire Service have departed Jalingo for the Federal Fire Service Training School, Surulere, Lagos, to commence professional training aimed at strengthening emergency response across the state.

The recruits left on Sunday as part of the Taraba State Government's efforts to reposition the state fire service through improved manpower development and institutional reforms.

The training programme will equip the recruits with professional skills in firefighting, fire prevention, rescue operations, disaster management and emergency response.

The recruitment, described as one of the largest into the Taraba State Fire Service in decades, reflects the commitment of Governor Agbu Kefas to enhancing public safety through a modern, well-equipped and professionally trained fire service.

On completion of the training, the personnel are expected to be deployed to the Taraba State Fire Service Headquarters in Jalingo, the Wukari Fire Station and other fire stations to be established across various local government areas of the state.

The deployment is expected to improve response time to fire outbreaks and other emergencies while expanding access to fire and rescue services across Taraba State.

The initiative has attracted commendation from stakeholders, who described it as a significant investment in public safety and emergency preparedness.

The training is expected to produce a new generation of professional firefighters to enhance the protection of lives and property and support sustainable development across Taraba State.

INSECURITY:Bissaula Community Leader Raises Alarm Over Renewed Attack, Calls for Lasting Security Deployment.

A community leader in Bissaula Ward of Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State, Alhaji Idi Ismaila, has decried a fresh wave of violence that disrupted the fragile peace recently restored to the area. INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week.
